About

From the age of five Gina Feddersen knew she was an artist. Her curiosity with clay and drawing was evident as she would often be found outdoors in her parents yard sculpting with mud and sketching with the terracotta rocks she would dig up from their pebble path. As a teenager she wanted to be three things: A fashion designer, archaeologist and artist. Born and raised in NY, she earned a degree in Visual Art from the College of Old Westbury in the late 90’s. Always curious about new cultures and distant places she began traveling and fell in love with the island pace and beauty of St. Thomas.

The Isola Bella brand was born in 2008.  (Isola Bella, pronounced E-SO-LA means beautiful island.) For over a decade the Isola Bella studio created hand printed textiles, jewelry and home and lifestyle products inspired by island living with a modern coastal esthetic and were sold throughout the United States and Caribbean in luxury hotels and high-end shops.

Throughout the seasons Isola Bella has evolved. Although Gina is not manufacturing commercially, she has shifted her focus back to what brings her the greatest joy, creating one of a kind art.

Gina is a multidisciplinary artist. She explores themes of nature, sea and simplicity through working in clay, painting and photography. When she isn't working in her studio she is out exploring on her daily island walks. She enjoys learning about astrology, psychology and holistic subjects implementing her knowledge and intuition into her everyday life and work.
